Five games does not make a successful adjustment. He has to break a lifetime of bad habits. Fortunately, there's four weeks left for him to work on it while it's fresh in his mind and physical responses. I'm sure Eric Davis couldn't be happier, but will certainly tell him to keep working hard at the changes. I mean, that last pitch was right down the middle. But, he did what he was supposed to do with it.

Aquino's problem has been the refusal to adapt, and whatever he's doing he better stick to it KNOWING that he's going to have to adapt yet again. If he doesn't, well he's running out of time.
    Oh, absolutely!

I had given up on him until a couple days ago. (I also realized that I was missing a lot of information in giving up on him, not knowing what the REDS were doing with him.) The Grand Slam didn't convince me from two days before, but yesterday's approaches during each plate appearance.

Seeing Aquino change his approach makes me wonder if there isn't more to why the REDS keep playing Senzel, that they aren't working with him on something that they think has a chance of succeeding with Senzel.
