Watching the Reds score five runs on the Brewers in the first, it was interesting to think about how many of the big hits came from players who have made big swing changes and adjustments recently.

Friedl, India, Aquino and Barrero have all tweaked their approach.

I don't understand why runners don't assume the defense is going to make a perfect play with the catcher on the inside of the plate and slide to the outside instead of straight in, and stick their front foot over back over to the plate to make the best slide they can every time to give themselves the best chance to score every time.

Can the Brewers out-bad the Padres to miss the postseason? Seriously, 56% chance to win tonight at home against the Reds according to ESPN. The Cubs had better odds at home for most of the last series. Brewers looking rather flaccid lately.
