Supply Chain management. The last 2+ years have been “fun.”

Apologies to woy, but I’m more of a Puffs guy.

Work at a federal prison where keep incarcerated drug kingpins, serial killers, international terrorists along with those caught in the illegal importation and black market sales of cheap, knock off Kleenex caddies.

Re: What do you do/did for a living?

Was a broadcast journalist/photo-journalist/public affairs specialist for the Military, specifically the U.S. Army, though I worked with all five branches.

Changed careers becoming a Computer Programmer (COBOL) for B of A in the Bay Area.

Finally moving back home to Oregon I left the analytics side and went into Computer Hardware and Software Sales to Governmental Agencies (from the reading of careers above, you can see that there was a market for that), Corporations and Educational Institutions. The benefits were more monies with more job satisfaction and time flexibility. There is not a single government agency or Educational Institution in the 400 square miles (40M East to West and 10 Miles North to South) of the Portland/Vancouver Metropolitan area that I have not sold computer hardware and software to. Hospitals were by far the largest clients. When the margins finally dropped too low to continue, I chose not to transition to the network or security industry and worked for 10 years opening a new Subaru store in the heart of town with Oregon's oldest dealership (began in 1904) with the grandchildren running it. I wouldn't have done car sales if it wasn't Subaru's (never sold a product I didn't believe in, which is why I always avoided Apple products) and the Owners did not have incredible integrity. It was 4 days on 2 days off, close at 7:00, at 6:00 on Sundays, no up or turn system and no buy-because-we-won't-see-you-again-philosophy. I was in the top-100 in Subaru Sales in the nation every year, but used cars made a lot more money. With my spouse still a dozen years away from retirement (Pharmacist for the County for the last 15 years,...she loves helping those who need it the most), I'm going back to work, but haven't decided what to do. I tried admissions for a college, but after four months I was 4th in Seniority and found it to be a sleazier industry than used-car sales at a one-person car lot. I won't work for horrible people or do anything I can't be fully honest with the client. So, that doesn't leave a lot of options. If you are wondering, the answer is yes.....a Public Affairs Specialist in the U.S. Military is not honest with anyone. It's all spin. You're a laison between the public, media and military personnel and everyone is on a need-to-know basis,...kind of like the sleazy work of Human Resources for any corporation, or Public School Board Member, or any politician.

Alien truck stop sex worker. [I’m actually a lawyer for a construction company but thought I’d lie to make myself sound more respectable].

I'm a partner at a 400ish lawyer firm. I practice in commercial real estate. Also considering a move to the alien truck stop sex worker field.

Giving up the Empire Management Consultant thing. Going back to my old gig.

Slightly different wrinkle, but I'm writing estimates for damages in Ft. Myers and Naples.

I saw this Tom Petty quote recently:
