OSU was always the basketball school back in the day, Ralph Miller was long standing. The Ducks were not too good IIRC, not anymore. Nice arena too

Ah, I remember the Lester Conner years. The Beavers were a Top 5 school.

With Steve Johnson, 2-time NCAA leader in FG%. He used to practice left-handed and right-handed hooks 300 times each per day when he was in High School.

He was the first person to dunk the ball in Pauley Pavillion, in a 20-point blowout win, while it was still illegal. He got a T, but who cares?

Ralph Miller always choked in the playoffs. He wasn't prepared for the intensity of the other teams.

Yeah. I remember that one year when OSU was undefeated. Until the last game. Then they got upset in the tournament.

And lost to Ball State in the Tournament. Ball State being the only team that gave UNLV a game in the Tournament that year.

A lot of former NBA players have a similar resume. Penny Hardaway and Jerry Stackhouse to name a couple although I wouldn't go so far as to apply your last sentence to them

Where do you project Michigan to finish in the B1G?

Not sure yet, they seem really young and outside of Dickenson they don't have anyone that I see carrying the team. I can see them losing 10 games easily as they find themselves. They have been good finishers the past few years, finding their game in the winter. They seem to be missing the game changing forwards they've had recently

Thanks for the take. I see a few pundits are high on them but I haven't watched them myself other than highlights.
