    Chase Anderson has shown some nice improvement down the stretch. I hope the Reds bring him back as he could be a much cheaper and better veteran version of Mike Minor.

    I'm also hopeful Fernando Cruz gets a real shot next spring. These 2 guys could be effective bottom of the staff arms and help save some bucks for a real impact signing.

    I think the distinction is more pro vs. amateur. Pros probably have a lot more lenient discretion.
