Barrero with a bad play to cost Friedl an error on a perfect throw, and Sanmartin a chance to get out of the inning with a 2-0 lead.

Jeff Brantley said after seeing the replay that it wasn't Barrero's fault

Good that Anderson was taken out after four innings. He got hit hard in the 4th, contacts of 110.4 (GO) and 106.9 (S). But, they weren't pitches in the middle of the box, just good hits where he wasn't able to get the batters to miss. He had too many of them tonight in just four innings. Got out of it without allowing a run thanks to some good Defense and some timely quality strikeouts.

BaseballSavant said that was a 260' Groundout (the ball hit to the Pitcher).

Then the tying run comes in on an error that should have been pinned on Reynolds.

Friedl's best Average Exit Velocity 92.3 is the exact spot that 3rd pitch was he took for a called strike.

Throwing error from TJ Friedl allows a runner from second to score on a bloop single to left field. Shortstop Jose Barrero blocked Reiver Sanmartin, who was covering third base, and the throw gets away for Kevin Newman to score. Reds up 2-1

The Pirates tie the game on another error. Jose Barrero charged with the throwing error on an attempted inning-ending double play, though it did hit first baseman Matt Reynolds' mitt.

Can't blame Sanmartin for missing the perfect throw due to being screened by Barrero who while running to the bag had turned his head and saw Sanmartin covering 3rd. Can't give the error to Barrero even though it was his fault since he never tried to make a play on the ball.
