    One last go around before we put the bats and balls away for another winter. Even though its been a bad season its still sad to see another season go. Another mark in time for me as I grow older knowing the seasons I will experience are becoming fewer and fewer.

    Thanks again Ron for all you did this season. You made a bad season much more enjoyable by posting these lineups everyday. Here's to a better 2023 season!

    Congrats to India and Farmer for being the last men standing from Opening Day to Closing Day.

    @jluckhaupt

    Once Graham Ashcraft records his first out today, the Reds will have 3 first-year pitchers with over 100 IP.

    That's something that has only happened 4 other times in MLB since 1949.

    If Ashcraft can keep his ERA under 4.60, the Reds will be the first team with 3 first-year pitchers with 100+ IP and an ERA under 4.60 since the 1969 Expos.

    I can be a melancholy day. It used to mean summer was over and fall was here. For quite a while, it also meant time to go back to school.

    But since about 1995, it’s also a reminder that the Reds are a second rate club. They seem to approach being consistently good, but then drop back into a multi-year losing trench. Most of the time they seem to shoot themselves in the foot. Or a pandemic hits.

    But here’s to looking forward to 2023. Maybe they’ll dhow some progress. My rational side says naaaaahhh, but my fan side gee maybe, you never know.

    That fact speaks volumes about the Reds' season. And the fact that Farmer will be named the Reds" MVP--hands down-- also
    speaks volumes about this team.

    I say "ditto " to everything you said. Always sad to see a Reds' baseball season end, no matter how tough a season it was. I hope that guys like you, me, Ron, Mr. Tucker, Keefe, and others live to see at least one more Reds' deep dive into October for a championship run. Would love just one more title. Thanks again to all of those who contribute to the site and make it such a fun place to discuss Reds' baseball. GO REDLEGS!!!

    The end of the season is always bittersweet.
    A time of mixed emotions, sadness of another season ending and eagerness to find the surprises next season is sure to bring.

    I think Ron should be MVP!

    He was on the job more days than the Reds offense ever was.

    Not only that, but the Reds scored more runs(20) in a game Ron attended this season than they have scored in the last week or more combined. We need Madden to be at more games to get that offense churning.

    Instead of a draft lottery, MLB should have an end of the season tournament between the non-playoff teams where the goal is to win the tournament to get the first pick.
