It’s too nice of an evening. Sitting on the patio drinking a bottle of pinot noir with the spousal unit.

Root the boys home for me, boys and girls.
The rose goes in the front, big guy.

Miserable season or not, I'm watching this one because it's the last game of the year and I'll miss it when it's over.

What’s our feeling on Fraley? Are we penciling him in as a starter in 23?

He’s been better than I expected. I’d be fine with it.

Team has far more exigent needs than upgrading from Fraley.

That’s one of the coolest stories Welsh has ever told.

We hear so many negative Pete Rose stories. Nice to hear the fun ones.

Really excited to see what Steer can become. He can be so patient at the plate.

Yes, I'm fine with Fraley for '23.

#4 in the division, #1 at leaving the bases loaded (not sure that's true, but who cares)

I'm not able to watch the game. Could someone give me really short summary of the story?

I'm perfectly happy with Fraley being a starter next year. I don't expect the Reds to do much upgrading the OF too much. I think you'll see Fraley and Senzel, for sure. Not sure who else.

Welsh told about how he became a Red in 1986. He was without a team the day before spring training. He ran into Pete Rose, and Pete asked him who he was playing for this season. Welsh told him no one. Pete said, now you do, come to the complex tomorrow and there will be a uniform with your name on it. Welsh came to the complex the next morning and there was a uniform with his name on it.

Welsh asked him if the GM was okay with this, and Rose told him, “I run this team, if I say you are on it, you are on it.”
