Finally they get rid of Zinter. I'm not claiming their offense problems were because of him, but he clearly wasn't helping.

Exactly, nothing added either that he could point to

The Reds are also making changes in the sports science/training department, looking at ways to mitigate the number of injuries.

    From Goldsmith:

The following staff members will not return to David Bell’s coaching staff in 2023: hitting coach Alan Zinter, first base/infield/baserunning coach Delino DeShields, advance scouting coach Cristian Pérez, bullpen coach Lee Tunnell and assistant coach Rolando Valles.

    ok
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Easy to fire coaches. Can't fire the whole team.

I don't think changing coaches will have much, if any, impact, but if they are in a housecleaning mood, I think that's a good thing. In another thread I listed 26 players who should be gone very soon. I hope they extend the housecleaning to most of those guys.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

Whoever is named the new hitting coach will be the 4th.

    Long, Ward, Zinter...Gapper? I don't know who they'll hire.

I am not upset with the decision to fire Zinter. Hopefully, they will not hire another grip and rip guy - is Charlie Lau's hologram available?

Seems like Reds top brass making a point of their unhappiness, but picking the small fry to let go. If you want to clean house, then clean house.

Losing Castellanos, Winker, Suarez and Votto, India and Stephenson out for extended time makes a difference in scoring runs?

I could have never guessed that in a million years. Yeah, Zinter’s fault.

My answer for Final Jeopardy was "Who are 5 coaches who were due for a raise?"
“The guys we've had for the most part have been serviceable at this level.”

Zinter is gone because of his work with the young guys, Fisher stays because of his work with the young guys

Plus Fisher was a proven commodity when they got him from the Brewers
