Marte by a hair. His approach at the plate is impressive for his age, and I think he can stick at 3B.
I’d by happy with a poor-man’s Manny Machado, would be totally fine with Machado 2.0.
I say 3 days for the top 10, then 2 days for the rest.
Also, EDLC is the obvious choice here.

I went with Marte over EDLC. It could be that I trust the Mariners scouts over the Reds scouts. Or I’m just having trouble getting past the thought that we’re all becoming so intoxicated by EDLC’s highlight films.
EDLC’s K rates and especially his unsustainable BABIP numbers, are really tempering my excitement.

I vote EDLC simply for that HR he lost in the stratosphere earlier in the year.
That "easy" power is scary.
I find it interesting as to who will settle in at SS and 3B and who gets the PTBNL (position to be named later).
Nothing better, IMO, than left-handed power: EDLC.
Unless it is switch hitting power.
This was pretty much how I was was. I ended up going EDLC but would have likely gone Collier had we gotten to see more of him after signing. Good problem to have. For me it was the potential for Eric Davis with health vs Joe Morgan with size.

I don’t know 40 yd times for both guys, but Marte has 24 and 23 stolen bases the last two years. He has a 60 grade for his run tool, the same as EDLC. And he seems fast enough, from an eye test.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned anywhere but EDLC has moved into the #6 slot on Fangraphs’ The Board. Marte is 12 I believe.
