The man lived arguably (definitely) one of the the Top-100 baseball lives ever and he lived in a modest suburban home just like many of us.

I think that’s the coolest part about it, and part of why Joe was so beloved.

Also, as has already been pointed out… that green bathroom is incredible.

Let’s hope the Reds don’t buy it. The roof would fall in instantly.

    Zillow link:

Looks to me like it needs so much updating, that it would be better to gut the thing and do a complete remodel.

Post #3 Krono - Looks nice, flippers will get it and turn into a copy of something they saw on HGTV.

Still can't get over the property taxes

I can't get over the low ceilings and baseboard heating. Wiring and plumbing probably need upgraded in a big way as well. And that kitchen -- pure yuck.

The bones are there to have a decent house. The kitchen isn't that bad. Rip down the wallpaper, but up a tile backsplash and put in granite counter tops and I think you'd be good.

With the basement you could get by with new flooring and ripping out the wood panels.

The real issues for me are the bathrooms. Those are just total gut jobs.

I was going to say that I'd love to have a candle that smelled like Riverfront did (stale cigars and stale beer), but it'd be more fun to just make a room smell like that on my own.

I hadn’t really looked through all the home pics in the listing until now.

If they ever needed a setting for The Shining 2 (yes I am aware of Doctor Sleep) , I think this house would do. It even has the bar in the basement that would come in handy.

Nuxhall was a smoker, in an era when everyone smoked in their houses.

    And the low ceilings.

    Bonus!

A little sad that this isn’t considered a nice house. People have gotten pretty spoiled.

    Has a pending sale now.

I lived in an apartment where the previous tenant was a heavy smoker. It was basically a 1 BR efficiency so everything, and I mean everything, was all stained yellow.
