I can't think of a G.M. who would entertain making that trade without a direct command from Ownership to do so.

I read some Titans forums during the game after the vicious hit and knockout of Byrd and nearly everyone was mad as hell about Brown being let go, even though Byrd proved himself hanging onto the ball after the hit. Fans were ready with pitchforks, and Frankenstein (the G. M.) got the blame from Ownership when it was Dr. Frankenstein (the Ownership) who should have gotten the axe (in the movie both did, but Frankenstein survived, as will this G.M. who was fired, who did a great job with the Titans).

You said it yourself...an average team with a mediocre QB that was the #1 seed last season while coming up with some unexpected playoff wins the last few years along with incredible regular season wins. They are still set to win their Division this season. I know....that's not saying much, but they aren't winning it the way that Tampa Bay is winning theirs. That is a great G. M. who can accomplish this.

Was Von Miller's knee not torn a couple weeks ago?

Apparently they did exploratory surgery to find out why his knee was hurting and discovered the tear.

From NBC Sports w/ NBC Sports' comments:

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Falcons will start Desmond Ridder in Week 15 against the Saints. With the Falcons on a bye this week, Ridder will have some extra time to prepare for his first career start. Head coach Arthur Smith left open the possibility of Ridder starting after the team's Week 13 loss to the Steelers and now appears to have made the switch. Through the first 13 games of the season, quarterback Marcus Mariota has led the Falcons to a 5-8 record; throwing for 2,219 yards, 15 touchdowns and nine interceptions while rushing for another 84-438-4. The Falcons selected Ridder in the third round of this year's draft after he compiled over 10,000 passing yards and 80 touchdowns during his career at Cincinnati. Ridder will be on the fantasy radar as a low-end QB2 when he suits up in Week 15.

Mayfield stumbling through the 5 plays he's able to memorize should really add to the quality of play inherent in Thursday Night Football games.

He's just not tall enough IMO. I don't know the Panther's roster, but is any of the QBs down there surrounded with the talent? Was it all Mayfield?

If anyone can get the most out of Mayfield it’s Sean McVay.

It might be in Bakers best interest to stay in LA. Who knows how much longer Stafford has.

What Mayfield did last night was amazing and fun to watch, running a 2 minute drill with an offense he's been with for 48 hours for a game winning touchdown drive. The throw to Jefferson was beautiful.

Baker knows he has a few games to showcase himself for teams for 2023.

I had $100 on this game for Vegas to win. I cashed out early because I was tired and the 1st half was boring. Woke up this morning to see I made the correct choice.

That was his style of play while at Okahoma. Mayfield's success in college was not as a pocket passer; but scrambling, improvising/reading defenses on the run. He was quite good at in college.

I have now heard the Primus song “Those Damn Blue Collar Tweekers” heading to commercial in a Fox NFL game for at least the second week in a row and I feel like I heard it before then too.

Love the song, but an interesting choice for an NFL game. Lol
