Depends on what their goals are. To show respectability for this year maybe so. They need to stop using older retread QB's in the future. They need to be 100% sure Ehlinger is not the future. Do they know that already? Even still, finishing in the middle of the pack will not (usually) get you a franchise QB in the draft.

To me, if you're still in the playoff hunt halfway through the season (which amazingly they still are), you have the responsibility to try and make the playoffs.

As a Bengal fan who has endured multiple devastating QB injuries over the year I hope that’s not true.

The Bills situation reminds me of the Browns last year. Imo the Browns should have benched an injured and struggling Baker for Case Keenum
Imo the Bills should bench Josh Allen 2-3 weeks for Case Keenum so as not to risk anything more severe happening to him. We'll see if they do.
But that to me is why paying these QB's these humungous salaries is a big risk
