Yep, Ohio State and Alabama are the only teams outside the top 4 with a chance to make it. Even if something crazy happened and Michigan and/or Georgia lost their CCGs I can't imagine they would drop lower than 3rd/4th.

Yep. The highest rated games to this point is basically a 35M tie between 2014 OSU Oregon and 2006 Rose Bowl between USC and Texas.

A Michigan OSU final would be over 40M.

But regardless, how many points does Michigan beat Utah by if we are being honest here? 30? Utah lost to Florida this year. A very bad team. USC is going to smoke Utah in Vegas. They are really not very good.

I think it’s more likely TCU loses to K State, and if y’all think a 1 loss TCU goes over a 1 loss OSU I’m not sure what to say.

The committee put the Buckeyes at 5 because they want an excuse to move them to 4. There would probably be 5-6 million more TVs tuned to Georgia vs OSU than there would be Georgia vs USC. Or how about Michigan vs OSU 2.0 in the CFP. The most watched college football game in history?
Easy on the Florida slander. Outside of the horrific Vanderbilt loss we faced a gauntlet in year 1 of Napier. We were by no means anything special but we werent awful.

#11 Utah (won by 3), Kentucky (lost by 10), #7 Tennessee (lost by 5), #14 LSU (lost by 10), #1 Georgia (lost by 22), and #13 FSU (lost by 7). We went 1-5

Against Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, South Florida, Missouri, Eastern Washington, and #19 South Carolina we went 5-1

We just beat the mess out of a South Carolina team 38-6 who went on to stomp Tennessee and beat Clemson the next two weeks.
We also just hung with a 9-3 Florida State team who beat LSU and only held losses to Wake, NC State, and Clemson by a combined total of 18 points.

Again, were not very good and were highly inconsistent but I think calling us very bad to argue against Utah being good isnt very accurate.

1 bad game doesnt make a team awful, just like most OSU fans dont think one 22 point loss at home doesnt make OSU unworthy of a CFP birth.

I was kidding around with the does not compute post, however, here is the difference between OSU and Florida this year:

    11-1
    6-6

Also, judging from the OSU fanbase that is not correct. elevenwarriors did a poll asking if they think OSU deserves a CFP birth and it was overwhelmingly "no"
What would you say.....ya do here?

I'm assuming that if TCU or USC fall most would consider Ohio St worthy of a bid.

    NCAA Football 2022 Part 2

Interesting hire for AD by WVU:

    https://www.espn.com/college-footbal...ad-sources-say

Don’t see it moving the needle on football but could have implications more on basketball when Huggins retires. I’d say Neal Brown is staying put.

Edit: Neal Brown is staying put.

I feel like Florida with an NFL talent at QB ending up 6-6 is awful, do most Florida fans really not see it that way?

No, we know that Richardson isnt nearly as good of a QB as some think. If all you see is the highlights you'd think he's a can't miss NFL QB. 6'4 230 mobile QB with RB ability and an absolute cannon of an arm.

What they don't see is he's extremely inconsistent, he struggles with accuracy, he's often hesitant to leave the pocket when it collapses and his delay results in 2-3 yard runs instead of 6-8, and he maybe one of the worst read-option decision making QBs ive ever seen, very often giving the ball to the RB when the read should be to keep it.

As far as ending up 6-6 well our defense just wasnt very good but i'd be beside myself to not lay some of the blame at Richardsons feet. For example, we led FSU 24-21 at half last weekend. Richardson started 0-9 in pass attempts in the second half and didnt complete a pass in the entire second half until 4 minutes left in the 4th quarter and even after that he went 4-10.

    2,500 yards passing on 54% with a 17-9 TD-INT is mediocre.
654 rush yards on 103 carries with 9 TDs is solid but nowhere near where you'd expect someone of his talent to finish up with.
I mean some of these games?
    Kentucky - 6 carries for 4 yards
South Florida 7 carries for 24 yards
Vanderbilt 4 carries for 25 yards.
The kid put 400 yards on the table last year on 50 carries. What happened?

I hate to say this but after his injuries last year and knowing what he is as far as size/measurables for the NFL it wouldnt surprise me the least if he played cautiously this season.

I mean their backup QB (and son of ex-Bengal QB Jon Kitna) was slinging kiddie porn. What do you expect?

Don't really feel like this should be a part of the conversation. It's about as awful as it can get and has zero to do with football.

Well he is a football player….

Hate it when you consider the person his dad was though.

Rose Bowl apparently gave in. The college football playoffs will expand to 12 in 2024.
