And either way, it doesn't change my core philosophy that this team needs bats in the outfield. Anyone we have currently playing left can play another spot if we get a LF with a bat.
That considers what the Reds currently have to throw against the OF wall. They find a strong corner defender (with half a bat) and Fraley will head back to LF.

I actually see the Reds taking 2 guys this year in the rule 5, I think that was their plan all along TBH. Some names that are intriguing:

    1) Victor Vodnik-RHP (Braves)- can be stashed in BP

    2) Dominic Canzone-OF (DBacks)- if he's there at 4, were taking him.

    3) Kameron Misner-OF (Rays) - #2 option after Canzone.

    4) Erik Miller-LHP (Phillies) #2 LHRP to be stashed in BP

-I only went with 4 guys because I feel the Reds will take one of these guys and actually all are better than what we saw in 2022, and all are close enough to be given a chance at the mlb level.

The Reds would have to have 2 open spots on their 40 man roster to draft 2 players in the Rule 5 draft today. They don't have 2 at the moment.

    https://www.fangraphs.com/roster-res.../40-man-roster

Not to mention the likelihood of 1 let alone 2 making it all year on the 26 man is near zero, it hamstrings the organization dearly when making roster decisions.

I would concur that all four guys listed should be able to make this team. I want Misner or Miller.

I have no idea how he is in the field, but the bat looks interesting:

So, it sounds like he is okay at best behind the dish but has versatility around the diamond.

Reds select Blake Sabol from Pirates...there is your third catcher...he also plays outfield, and is what he is listed at, on the draft list.

Left-handed bat that played in Indianapolis so familiar with the Midwest so he probably like skyline … makes perfect sense
