Christine McVie RIP

I just learned today that McVie’s name at birth was Christine Anne Perfect. That’s a lot to live up to in a name but she took a pretty good shot at it.

This one hurts really bad. I've seen Christine and FM in concert several times throughout the past decades. To me, at least, she was the voice of FM. The heart and soul of the band. Her soulful voice tugged at your heartstrings and, at the same time, comforted you like a warm blanket. Three songs came to my mind immediately after hearing of her passing--- 1) Over and Over , (2) Songbird . 3) Spare Me a Little of Your Love


1) Over and Over .... haunting , shakes me to the core, first track off the "Tusk" LP and one of the best.
2) Songbird... the song that the Mac closed their shows with for decades. I can't image a better song for Chris. She was indeed a songbird.
3) " Spare Me a Little..." One of the first songs I ever heard of FM. From the LP "Bare Trees." Before Nick and Buckingham joined. Probably the reason she has always been the voice of FM for me.
