Lots of Reds games on YT. Mainly from the mid 80's forward. I have a bunch saved to watch at some point. I also like to watch just random games involving other teams. It can be kind of fun in what you find.

I finished watching this one last night. The Reds had been struggling but were starting to come around. The bottom part of their lineup was pretty weak with Treadway and Terry McGriff in the 7 and 8 spots. Bullpen was solid. They brought in Frank Williams and Murphy to set things up for Franco. He nearly blew it but hung on. Also one of my personal favorites from other teams played in this game, Chris Speier. He played a long time in the big leagues. His rookie season was 1971 and he was still going in 1988. Good for him!

I put this on for a while very late last night. Of course Milton gave up a 2 run HR to Saenz right away.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Changing it up, watching game 1 of the 88 series, As vs Dodgers.

No link, it's on MLB network now.

Lasorda looking noticably more portly than he did in the 1980 all star game I had queued up the other night. Happens to the best of us...

Nice tidbit though, when the camera panned to the dugout and Lasorda was clowning around with Valenzuela.

Also, Dave Parker as an A. Right there next to baby Canseco and baby McGwire.

The As had no idea what was waiting for them in 1990.

How about Mickey Mantle and Yogi Berra batting vs the Cincinnati Reds in the 1961 world series...

Featuring a young and spritely Mel Allen with the PbP. "Howwww about that..."

This is gold! Thank you. I looked in the sidebar and found the same clip with another 25 minutes or so tacked onto the end: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gf7dr1JMP1E

    Re: Old Games on Youtube

Based on this off-season, watching old games sounds a whole lot better than watching new ones.
