Aguiar again. Glad to see Cade Hunter on here. I'm not voting for him yet but I have him ahead of a lot of people on this list. Saw him a lot in college. Hits the ball very hard. I consider him a stealth pick by the Reds.

I surprised Javi Rivera isn’t getting more love. Him and Julian Aguiar should have been in the top 20

Tell me more about them. I vote for the guys I’ve read about but all my reading comes on this site. One reason I like this prospect poll is people supporting various prospects.

I’ll be happy to read some sales pitches for some of these guys.

I've been voting for Aguiar for a while now. The more I look at his numbers, the more I think he's definitely a top-20 guy in this system. He was a 12th-round Juco signing so a bit overlooked. Also means he's younger than your average college arm and the Reds can take their time developing him.

He’s not flashy but could end the year in AA with an eye on a rotation spot or long relief in 2024.

They'll get more love this season as they pitch more in Dayton.

Their issue, as it is with many who are so young, is the doubt among a specific set of posters.

This is from Reds Minor Leagues.

A 20th round draft pick in 2021, Javi Rivera didn’t make his pro debut until this spring. He pitched in 19 games with Daytona before being promoted and making five starts with Dayton to end the season. Between the two stops he posted a 3.29 ERA in 93.0 innings while walking just 25 batters and picking up 111 strikeouts. He led all starters in the organization with a 0.99 WHIP thanks to giving up just 67 hits and showing off strong control of the strikezone.

He was also pitcher of the month in the Florida State league for June.

Rivera might have stuff more condusive to keeping the ball in the ballpark, but Aguiar's a year younger.

It's a coin flip, for me.

Like I said earlier. Both should have been in the top 20. I like Rivera better tho. I also like Balcazar, Confidan, Rodriguez and Sanchez. There is a lot of good young players in our system.

Team Yerlin is on the rise
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

I'm going Aguiar. Pitching is the area of the farm that most concerns me. Although I am reluctant to get excited about pitchers in the low minors who can get by with fastballs, his control and uptick in velocity gives me hope he will continue to improve.
