    Woo-hoo! First!

    Johnny Ascanio, for me.

He should be mentioned in the same breath as Balcazar and Jorge (and, IMO, far more than Victor Acosta) as a middle infield guy with intriguing offensive tools. He's getting lost in the shuffle a bit, IMO. Beyond that, he has a solid 60 name-- he just sounds like a ballplayer. Johnny Ascanio, the San Juan Wonder. Manos de Oro, El Continuación.

Zero HRs in any short season ball (over 200 ABs). Boring offensive skill set. I’m going with Cade Hunter so we get at least one catcher in the top 40.

I voted Esmith Pineda. Strong intl. pedigree. Put up really good numbers in his brief DSL stint.

I sort of wanted to pick a catcher but can’t decide on one. Johnson’s K% is really worrisome.

Danial Vellojin has been tearing it up in winter ball.
In 2021 Vellojin had 1 more SO than BB over the entire season.
He got a late start to the 2022 season due to injury. I believe it was his Hamate bone but not sure
He’s my favorite catcher in the system. I don’t really know much about the 2 guys they just drafted.

I’m going to agree with you on Pineda. Had planned for vote otherwise but most of those are very boring picks. I’ll go with a guy who OPS’d well over 1.000 at age 17.

I’m leaning Vellojin. He’ll very likely get the chance at Reds backup in 24-25. He’s my next pick after Pineda
