If you’re into PFF grades then have Burrow graded higher than Mahomes yesterday. Impossible to overstate the degree of difficulty Burrow dealt with thanks to an abysmal performance by the OL.

Intentional grounding calls are the most discretionary things in the NFL. Maholmes threw one out of the end zone and the great sage Romo said it was a brilliant thing - even though there was no receiver anywhere near the ball by 20 yards. Why wasn't that grounding. If you are calling them all game its fine. To call them with less than 2 minutes less, its nonsense.

Ultimately, this NFL brutal schedule once again came down to attrition,...last man standing.
The 49er's were down to their 4th String QB and lost him to a concussion during their last game.
The Bengals were down to one Starting O-Lineman and another Starter who was a Rookie, and then three scrubs and TE's who can't block and a Starting RB (Mixon) who can't block worth a lick, and Irwin replacing Boyd (allowing the Chiefs to double both Chase and Higgins). It also can't be underestimated how much Flowers was missed. Flowers is their tallest Secondary player and best player to cover a TE like Kelce.
The Bills were pulling multiple practice squad players to start at WR the last four weeks of the season, while their Starting Safeties were either on IR or could barely walk.
DAL just has a horrible Head Coach and a QB who chokes.
The Ravens didn't have any QB's left.
The Giants didn't have any WR's left.
The RAMS didn't have any O-Linemen all season long. Burrow went through late what Stafford went through from Day 1 this season.
Rodgers never had any Receivers from Day 1, while also not having any O-Linemen, either.
Brady would have sucked if he had healthy teammates.

They're definitely going to need to address Tackle in some way. Collins won't be back until well into the season. I think Jonah is going to be the LT, although Carman seemed to do fine the last 2 games, which is encouraging. I'd look at upgrading Guard as well. Volson was a rookie, so you hope he gets better, but he was the weakest link on the OL. The line has to get to at least average. Both the Ravens and the Chiefs' worst OL was better than the Bengals best OL. The guys who know what they're talking about on the line seem to think the Bengals OL is pretty fundamentally sound and well coached, but their deficiencies really show up when they go up against elite talent like Myles Garrett and Chris Jones.
It'll be interesting to see where free agency shakes out and who they decide to bring back. They have some money to play with plus the draft to address some holes.

So basically New York is in an earpiece.
Hmmm I was not aware of this. It’s a good idea but it should be transparent - letting fans know when used.
Agree with everything.
I do have a ton of faith in Bengals' Ownership and their Coaches at this point. It's very encouraging, and I feel very fortunate (as a fan of the REDS and Blazers, seeing what they've both done the last two decades, and what the Bengals did in the '90's and '00's).

I just read the rule- it's dense and makes absolutely no sense. https://operations.nfl.com/the-rules...nal-grounding/

It wasn't just the on-field officials.
The NFL decided to lean for the Chiefs, too, as evidenced by them of ignoring the actual rulebook on the 1st Down challenge. A player is not allowed to extend his arm forward and get more yardage and then bring it back unless it's the actual goalline, when it comes to forward progress.
