    All joking aside, one of the last updates we got about him was that he hadn't walked in months because of whatever freak toe issue he was having.

    I suspect there will be an article (or more likely a throw-away line) that Senzel will be delayed in his Spring Training start. Sometime halfway through, there will be a Senzel sighting and talk of starting the season in AAA.

    Of the Reds with meaningful injuries at last season’s end, I’d guess half will be unready for ST. That’s the way it usually works.

    There is precious little available information on most of these guys, it’s a guessing game. Senzel is a good candidate to miss time, so are a number of others.

    I'd be surprised if Votto is on the field for Opening Day.

    I've heard of the big toe and the pinkie toe. Which one is the freak toe?

    I completely spaced on him, thanks.

    Nick Senzel really makes me wish Billy Hamilton were still a Red. He can at least field.

    And he can also run the bases unlike Senzel He was also healthy.
    Senzel slash line last year .231/.296/.306 .602 ops 66 wRC+
    Hamilton Career slash line .239/.296/.326 .622 ops 66 wRC+

    I was so off when I though Senzel compared well to Drew Stubbs.

    You can write that in Stone on the walls of the REDS' front office right now.

    @ctrent

    Talked briefly to Nick Senzel.
    He looks like he's in great shape, which is especially interesting considering he couldn't walk for four months. His foot is good, he said, and they'll ramp him up a little more slowly, but he's in great shape and feeling good

    If Votto isn't on the field, I hope he is in the booth.

    I am glad they are going to take him up the ramp slowly. If taken quickly he is liable to fall and break a hip.
