Assuming electricity is not an issue: what device do you take to play the album on?

This is a tough one and I'll get some laughs from some but U2's The Joshua Tree

Just a great set of songs and before Bono's head got too big for his own good.

If I’m stuck on a deserted island, I’m partying on my way to starvation and death with Zooropa.

Zooropa is ok but that's when Bono went overboard. I kinda checked out with Achtung Baby and Zooropa

I’d be ok with any of the following

    Axis Bold as Love-Hendrix
    Desperado-Eagles
    Zeppelin 1-Zeppelin
    Number 1 Album-Big Star

IMO Bob Dylan's Blood on the Tracks is the greatest collection of songs ever recorded for a single album...by far. YMMV

“Songs In The Key Of Life” for sure…

Not sure how to count this, but the first release of The Beach Boys album “Carl And The Passions” (a pretty good, underrated album), was released as part of a double album with a rerelease of the indescribably essential “Pet Sounds”. So you got one great album and one good one. “Pet Sounds” is so freaking good that I might take that package over Stevie… but probably not.

I'll tell you what, it is the greatest divorce record of all time for sure.

Top 10 album of all time for me, what a masterpiece.

Oh jeez. Yes it is. I was getting divorced when that album came out and I though Dylan could read my mind and emotions. Searingly true and cuts to the bone.

I still have to be in the right mood to listen to it to this day.

It's close, but I'm going with Marvin Gaye's 'Here my Dear"

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Here,_My_Dear

The album was notable for its subject matter focusing largely on Gaye's acrimonious divorce from his first wife, Anna Gordy Gaye.

A commercial and critical failure upon its release, it was later hailed by music critics, in the years following Gaye's death, as one of Gaye's best albums. "It's taken me a while," Anna admitted in later years, "but I've come to appreciate every form of Marvin's music."
