And, this is why we love baseball.

You look at today's game and you feel like the REDS could win the World Series.

    - - - Updated - - -

Four more steals today off four different pitchers and two different catchers.

Only 4 Walks and 10 K's by the pitching staff. You love seeing that this early in Spring Training, and by the players most likely to make the club. Great WHIP today for the entire game for this early in Spring Training, again,...by the players most likely to make the club. Also, great OPS-Against while along with an error-free game. Our running forced an error by the Dodgers.

All of the elements of a Championship Team were displayed today. Holding a 1-0 lead into the 7th was one of them. Four different pitchers earned a "Hold", and I don't know why Law doesn't get credit for a Hold, as his was the most difficult, the bottom of the inning after the REDS took the lead, and those five pitchers gave up only 2 Singles, 2 Walks, while striking out 7 in 5 innings without giving up a run.

Lodolo didn't go five innings, so why he was credited with the win is a mystery. I suppose it is Spring Training for the scorers as well.

In spring training if the starter leaves the game with a lead and the opposition never ties or takes the lead he gets the win. The five inning thing is for games that actually count in the standings

That may be an All-Star game rule also.
