i don't know if you guys are into the (NOW LEGAL! lol) sports betting thing ... but taking the over on reds wins at 65.5 seems like a very good bet. i mean, everything went wrong last year and they won 62 games. they could go 66-96 this year and you would win that bet if you took the over. i think they will win right around 70-72 games, so i like the value a lot there.
and i put my money where my mouth is. was driving by hollywood casino here in columbus after visiting a client. put a cool grand down on the reds at OVER 65.5 wins. this is how far we've fallen. if the reds win 66 or more games, i'll be a happy camper. lmao.

I think they get to 80 wins.

I voted 74-76. They’ll have stretches where they look like a ball club. But their starting pitching is thin. Their semi-big 3 will have some success but the rest of the rotation will be a dumpster fire. I’m not sold in the bullpen so I am dubious there. The on-field team will find it hard to score runs at times. They’ll be better than last year. The wild card will be if the vaunted farm system gets some real talent to the bigs.

I went with 74-76, but I think I should have guessed 71-73.

73-89. I figure they won’t have a disastrous April like last season and the youngsters will infuse some needed life in August and September.
Went with 64 and under. Wanted to go with 65-67, but that's such a tight range. As much as things went wrong last year to get them to 62 wins...they didn't get any better that I see. No Castillo, mahle, Drury, naquin, farmer. Those were a lot of the brighter spots last year...
i'm telling y'all. even if you just want to bet some beer money. take the over at 65.5 wins. feels like free money.
and they were without castillo and mahle for a large portion before they were traded, stephenson and india basically hurt all year, on and on and on. couldn't catch a break last year and won 62 games. i am *literally* betting they will win 4 more games than last year. do we realize how low of a bar that is? it's like if cheers had a basement bar. (oh wait.)
