I know Barrero is not a popular guy among the redszone masses, but the best thing that could possibly happen for the Reds is for him to win the shortstop job and post respectable (hopefully more than respectable) numbers. We all know EDLC is going to stake claim to that position in the very near future. REDS went into today's game leading MLB in Stolen Bases this Spring with 19. They have only 1 CS.
Tonight they have added two to that total to give them 21. I don't know if the pickoff of Barrero was a CS, or not.

Our team pitchig is giving up a league-worst .312 average, 28th in WHIP, 28th in ERA, but we are 4th in K's.
The most important part is that those who are likely to make the Opening Day roster have actually pitched pretty well. We just have a lot bad pitchers in Spring Training who have no business thinking about being on the Opening Day roster.
