Blue Jays DFA Anthony Bass. He hasn't been great this year, and he found himself getting some heat after sharing anti-LGBTQ stuff on social media.

There was a post about the Brewers might go after Lorenzon now on the Tigers.. he has pitched 9 games a 3.32 ERA as a starter. 53 innings and 41 strikeouts. I didnt realize he got a 8.5million one year contract.. Myers and Rece Hines for Lorenzon? I know that's not happening

Just saw that too. They should get him unless there’s some injury going on. He had some decent games his last 5 outings.

If he can help the bullpen, the Reds should try to pick him up. But he probably can't, so they shouldn't.

    Team 6 on the year:
    https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/...60-day-il.html

The Tigers announced that they have claimed infielder Nick Solak off waivers from Atlanta and optioned him to Triple-A Toledo. To make room on the 40-man roster, right-hander Spencer Turnbull was transferred to the 60-day injured list.

Solak, 28, continues his journey around the league, as he has bounced from team to team quite a bit in the past seven months. He spent the past few years with the Rangers but was traded to the Reds for cash in November of last year. He then went to the Mariners on another cash deal before successive waiver claims took him to the White Sox, Atlanta and now the Tigers.
“The guys we've had for the most part have been serviceable at this level.”

Please don’t tell that Wheelhouse guy or Bass will have his own thread soon…

Veteran Chicago Cubs right-hander Kyle Hendricks in his Saturday road start against the San Francisco Giants came within four outs of throwing the first no-hitter of 2023 in an eventual 4-0 win for his team.

A lot of us were upset that the Reds didn't sweep the As and settled for the series win.

Imagine being a Brewers fan today.

We got a long way to go but so far this year has been an anomaly for large vs small markets. Lots of small payroll teams are out performing large payroll teams. It'd be fun if that continues

Reds, Marlins, D’Backs… I’ll bet two of those make the playoffs. Maybe 3.

I’m thinking this year might finally be the end of AJ Preller.

What'd really be amazing payroll wise is if say Baltimore made it

Oh yeah… Rays and O’s leading the AL East is fantastic. Hope it keeps up.
