I'd sign him pronto. Always liked Naquin. Could use the LH bat.

Clint Frazier just got cut too.

Rather give him a shot over Strickland

I'd rather have what we've got than go after Naquin, Hiura or Frazier

Me too unless they can use them to backfill for somebody they can deal for a pitcher. Most of the position players are temps who will be pushed aside when De La Cruz, McClain, Siani, Marte, Encarnacion etc arrive. There is no such backlog on the pitching side. If they can deal one of these temps and backfill from the waiver wire, they should do it. They seriously need pitching both in the rotation and the bullpen. I'm not convinced there is any help in AA or AAA on the pitching side.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

He was mediocre at best with the Reds and this is his age 32 season. I’d rather see what Fraley/Friedl/Benson can do as LH outfielders…

Tigers right-hander Michael Lorenzen is going to start the season on the 15-day injured list.

The offseason signee is dealing with a left groin strain. Hinch indicated it’s not expected to be a serious issue but will require Lorenzen to miss a couple turns through the rotation.

Detroit brought the veteran in on a one-year, $8.5MM guarantee over the winter. He and fellow free agent pickup Matthew Boyd were added to take the final couple rotation spots

I would think that soon-to-be FA Kyle Crick would be someone to sign.

    He’ll fit right in.

I think he makes up for it by giving up very few hits. His career ERA+ is 118 and his FIP is like 4.15ish. He’d be the 2nd best relief pitcher on the Reds roster…

He’s called “Crick” because that’s what happens to his neck after violently turning around to watch his pitched balls head out in a hurry.
“The crows seem to be calling my name,” thought Caw.

Moustakas' offseason work pays off with roster spot

Mike Moustakas, 34, went to former Major Leaguer Marlon Byrd to tweak his hitting, and put in boxing footwork drills with George Foreman III to bounce back from three injury-filled seasons with the Reds. Then he knocked it out of the park in the camp.

From agreeing to a Minor League contract on March 5 through Friday, when he homered against the Brewers, Moustakas hit .367 (11-for-30) with two home runs and nine RBIs. He learned before Saturday night’s game against the Guardians that he had made the Opening Day 26-man roster.

Cardinals lose to the Astros 24-1. Even if it's only spring training, I still enjoy watching the Cardinals take a beating.

Top shortstop prospect Anthony Volpe has made the New York Yankees' Opening Day roster, a source tells ESPN.

In the last 24 hours, St. Louis has broken camp with 20-year-old Jordan Walker and the Yankees will do the same with 21-year-old Anthony Volpe.

Service-time manipulation still exists. But new CBA rules that incentivize teams to start the year with top prospects are working.
Well, that's what those words mean. He was here. If they don't keep him, he will have been lost/subtracted. I headed out the door today with two shoes on my feet. If I don't return with them, I have lost them. If I do return with them, I haven't added them. ---M2
