The xBA was .910 on that homerun.

Kyle Lewis was the only player to have an exit velocity above 89.1 against Greene today and that was only 95.9 on his Single in the first inning, which he was stranded on a weak exit velocity of 44.7 Groundout from the next batter.

We have got some elite pitching in Greene, Lodolo and Ashcraft.

It's actually going to be a fun season and this team will actually stay in contention for most of the year.

Nice job, Ian. We need guys coming in after Greene, Lodolo and Ashcraft to shut the doors, or more clearly....keep the doors shut and turn their great pitching performances into Wins for them, not losses from the bullpen, or even wins from the bullpen.

Sometimes, I'll forget to place an "e" at the end of Hunter's name, but it's like the great novelist's name, Graham Greene. Both the first and last name of Hunter Greene are the same as two of the greatest novelists of the 20th Century, Hunter S. Thompson and Graham Greene.

I figured his limit would be 60.
Kyle Lewis actually had one other exity velocity above 89.1, that was his GIDP of 97.1. So, even when Green got his kind of hard, it was directed to a fielder into a double-play, so it's not like Greene put the ball into a position where damage could be done, but in fact, the opposite. You actually want the ball getting to the infielder a little faster and not dribble to him for an infield hit or a productive out. Incredible display of pitching.

I said "the Cubs" a few times. We're playing the D-Backs. Don't have a visual.

I was following on Gameday, Greene was getting outs with his slider.

That will get you double-plays, just not usually with an exit velocity of 97.1, but Kyle Lewis is good. Lewis made good contact, but he still couldn't avoid hitting it into the ground. Our infielders were where they were supposed to be.
