    Dr. Kremchek The Legend Of Doc Hollywood

    Cincinnati Reds – Doc Kremchek reflects on time as Reds’ doctor with transition to new role

    When you work somewhere for more than 25 years, no matter the line of work, you probably have an abundance of memories and stories to share. This is especially true when you work as the team doctor for a Major League Baseball organization.

    Dr. Timothy Kremchek, founding partner of Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, was appointed as the Reds’ team physician in 1996. And since that time, he has happily served as the medical director and chief orthopedic surgeon for the Reds.

    Kremchek is excited for Dr. Andrew Razzano, who has followed in his footsteps for the last four seasons, to step into the day-to-day role of team orthopedic doctor in 2023 while Kremchek remains an orthopedic consultant to the team.

    He'll always be remembered as the ultimate optimist. His recovery timeline predictions sure were something.

    Some place somewhere Chuckie is working himself into a frenzy over this article...

    Probably said, "He will be OK in a day or two". Then the next day its amputation.

    It's a thankless job being a surgeon whose life occupation is repairing abused toys, over and over again.

    How many times can we glue Ken's head back on?

    Let's not forget Joey had bicep surgery at the same time as his shoulder surgery, I don't know if a Doctor said 6 months or if it was just assumed that 6 months was average recovery time ?

    Re: Dr. Kremchek The Legend Of Doc Hollywood

    Despite the additional damage to Votto’s bicep, the timeline to recover from the surgery remains six months. Reds medical director Dr. Tim Kremchek performed the surgery Friday at Beacon Orthopaedics in Cincinnati.

    Kudos to
    @TKremchekMD
    on his decades-long service to the Reds. He and his staff were incredibly kind and helpful when I needed it. The legend of Doc Hollywood! A fun read.

    Timelines are not written in stone. Especially when there is an extended rehab involved. And not everyone heals the same.

    But that has never stopped the Reds from announcing "he's day to day" or "he'll be ready on opening day."
    Where we gonna go?
