On Statcast’s Sprint Speed leaderboard, he trailed only Elly De La Cruz and Bobby Witt Jr. in 2023.

Young guy (25) with great wheels. Thompson even has a little pop. I wonder how this affects Fairchild's spot?

Or Barrero's retention on the 40.

Typical type of player 5 teams claim via waivers in an off-season before finally being outrighted at the end of spring training.

I dunno, but his age and 1st round pedigree give me some hope he could stick and contribute, especially with the resurrection of the running game.

He obviously doesn't walk enough to take full advantage of the speed, but his 2021 and 2022 seasons in AA and AAA/AL look pretty darned good.

In 2022 his SB-CS numbers were 67-6. He scored 95 runs that year. I am actually surprised this guy fell to the Reds.
