He clearly misses his buddy EDLC.

There’s a good chance he’ll be the best hitter on the Reds the moment he arrives. Get him up asap!

    Arroyo is 14 for his last 25 with 2 2B, 1 3B, 2 HR, and 5 SB.

    That's a .560 BA, fwiw.

That's raised his season BA more than 35 points in that span.

    Connor Phillips is pitching a gem tonight: 5 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 8 K. Just 69 pitches.

Chattanooga batting averages in this lineup: .000/.178/.165/.204/.271/.264/.225/.130/.202.

Another inning and another strike out for Phillips.

Connor Phillips throws 7 scoreless innings before calling it a night. 1 hit. 1 walk. 10 strike outs. For the year, he has a 15.4 K/9.

3 catchers in Cin and 2 who are hitting well in AAA. Pereda and Robinson both hitting the cover off the ball. Robinson has been consistent all season and is at .338 while Pereda, in limited AB's is at .382

I wonder if we could close this thread and move the daily discussion to the Midsummer one to keep everything in one spot?
"In our sundown perambulations of late, through the outer parts of Brooklyn, we have observed several parties of youngsters playing 'base', a certain game of ball. Let us go forth awhile, and get better air in our lungs. Let us leave our close rooms, the game of ball is glorious"
