DAYTON RECAP - The Dragons posted a 6-4 win yesterday.

Tyler Callihan singled and walked twice out of the leadoff spot.
Matheu Nelson singled, homered (2) and walked.
Justice Thompson was perfect at the plate with 2 singles, a double and a base on balls.
Jack Rogers walked and launched a 3-run shot (1). He also pilfered second base.
Luis Chevalier singled twice and walked.

7 different Dragons were issued free passes.
Austin Callahan is stuck in park for the season. BA .040. OPS .290.

Julian Aguilar struggled through 4.1 innings.
And, like the Bats, it was hit or miss out of the Dragons pen.

Cachutt and Gozzo hit.
Benoit and Holt missed.

DAYTONA RECAP - A team that could no wrong to open the season (5 wins in a row), can suddenly do no right, dropping 3 straight. This time it was 3-2.

Mason Pelio did not pitch poorly. 4 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 2 K.
Jared Lyons was decent. 3 IP, 1 R, 3 K.
Big Zach Maxwell was dealing. 2 shutout innings with 4 K.

Carlos Jorge swung a big stick. Triple, home run (1) and walk. 1.256 OPS.
Leonardo Balcazar singled and walked twice.
Sal Stewart also walked twice.
Logan Tanner singled and doubled.

LOUISVILLE RECAP - The Bats 9-game losing string goes by the boards, as Louisville prevails 7-3.

Chase Anderson set the tone with a solid 5 innings of 1-run ball. He struck out 4.
The bullpen was hit or miss. Kuhnel and Lucas Sims hit. Guerrero and Hunter Strickland missed. Sims is now unscored upon in 3 outings. That would be a nice boost.

Alejo Lopez singled twice and walked.
Matt McLain singled and homered. He is OPSing .961.
Stephen Layton doubled twice.
Chuckie Robinson sold his soul to the devil over the winter, obviously. The one-man wrecking crew reached base and scored all four trips to the dish, and fell a triple shy of the cycle. Single, double, home run (2), walk and stolen base.

Joey Votto sat out for the second game in 3 nights.
Will Benson has brought his Cincy stroke to Louisville. 4 Ks in 5 PA.

Votto is actually in Cinci now. His rehab is over in Louisville and he’s going to continue his rehab in Cinci. Not sure what that means .
