I'm sorry for your loss. It's hard to lose a pet that you've made a bond with.
"Even a bad day at the ballpark beats the snot out of most other good days. I'll take my scorecard and pencil and beer and hot dog and rage at the dips and cheer at the highs, but I'm not ever going to stop loving this game and this team and nobody will ever take that away from me." Roy Tucker October 2010
That is way too soon. I'm so sorry. May you enjoy the adventure of finding your next kitty...![]()
Quantum computing promises to be a revolutionary tool, making short work of equations that classical computers would struggle to ever complete. Yet the workhorse of the quantum device, known as a qubit, is a delicate object prone to collapsing.
Ten years isn't long enough, been there - extremely difficult - sorry.
Sorry to hear that. A love of a pet is a pure thing. I’ve had to put 3 dogs down over a 35 year span and I cried like a baby each time.

I am sorry to see this ORH and WOY. Pets are a big part of your life and when they die it leaves a huge hole. I had to put 2 cats down in a within a short time back in 2017. I felt nearly the same in sorrow as when My dad had died. It was especially hard for the Bengal cat when I had to do that. She was my buddy. We had only had her for about 6 years. When that decision came it had to be one of the hardest I made in my life. We also had a cat that lived to be 18. He died from complications of diabetes. We were lucky to have him as long as we did. I wish you both peace and maybe sometime soon you may get another cat or pet that will help fill that void in your life.

From Ted Lasso:
We’re lucky enough that our little buddy, a black cat named Dexter, has been with us for 15 years, almost as long as we’ve been married. Sometimes we get almost pre-devastated thinking about him no longer being with us. No matter how long he lives, it won’t be enough.Ted - You and the missus, y'all been together a while, yeah?
Higgins - Oh, yes. 28 years.
Ted - Oh.
Higgins - Five boys, three dogs, one 20 year-old-cat whose impending death will wreck me emotionally, and one small house that manages to fit us all in it.
Thinking of you, my fellow Reds fan pet owners.

Sorry ORH, I know how tough this can be.

School's out. What did you expect?
Very sorry for your loss, ORH. We have a big, super-sweet, gentle guy who looks just like him.
We'll give our cats some extra nip tonight in honor of your guy, and I'll ask those of ours who have passed to guide him in from the rainbow bridge and show him around.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. Animals are here for a short period of time to tell their story, to share your love. They're all up there in the Heavens sprouting their wings.

When I wrote this a couple weeks ago, I did so knowing that my wife and I would soon be in ORH's position- mourning the loss of one of our own small furry family. Last September, our second oldest cat was diagnosed with kidney disease. She was the last surviving member of a litter of four amazing cats, two of whom had previously succumbed to acute renal failure, so we knew the outlook was pretty bleak.
Earlier today, after seven amazing 'bonus' months with her, and with my wife and I by her side, our brave girl passed on. She was 12 years old. While her passing is devastating to us by itself, her being the last of her litter is hitting us twice as hard. There are just so many memories, pictures, and videos of her that involve her late siblings from literally the moment of their births, it feels like we're mourning each of them all over again. I know that we'll eventually move on to celebrating her life, but working to transition to that is pretty damned rough.
