I'd say more than one. I don't think it helps a guy like Senzel to get to the park and have his manager pull a position out of a hat for him to play. Senzel might be a bad example since he's likely not around much longer, but I don't want EDLC, McLain, CES, etc. coming up and having to play five different positions.

Steer has a good eye if the umps call the pitches correctly.

I don’t think that’s going to happen with EDLC, McLain, CES, etc - I think they are figuring out where they are going to play in the minors and, again, this is just a season long tryout for next year and beyond. They are seeing it Senzel, Barrero, etc can carve out a place on the team moving forward. Barrero is not going to be the SS for the Reds next year. Why only have him play SS?

I can’t blame that AB on the Reds or Newman. He started out 0-2 on two pitches a foot and a half off the plate. Ridiculous.

I’m almost out of adjectives. I’m at “reprehensible” now. This is the worst lineup I can recall.

Yea, I get it's a season long tryout. I'm not getting too worked up about wins and losses.

But I just don't like the trend of position versatility for non-utility type players. Could be part of the reason why the Reds defense has stunk the last several years, I think there's something to be said for developing rapport and a rhythm with the defenders around you. It also doesn't help the young pitchers any and adds to their pitch counts.

Normally a pitcher walks someone he gets burned. This guy walks 2 and the guy you expect to do something can’t. The guy you expect nothing from looks even worse flailing at wiffle balls.

I’m starting to channel my inner Brenneman with my rage.

Since Myers had 4 hits in a game a week ago, he's had one hit and struck out 10 times, including twice today.
