Name That Classic Rock Song (Fun Music Thread)

It's not as easy as one might think when all you have is words. I'll try to post one every day or two. Can you name the song off the top of your head? We'll start with a favorite from my teenage years:

    Times are hard
You're afraid to pay the fee
    So you find yourself somebody
Who can do the job for free
When you need a bit of lovin'
'Cause your man is out of town
That's the time you get me runnin'
And you know I'll be around ...

    Light the candle
Put the lock upon the door
You have sent the maid home early
    Like a thousand times before
Like the castle in its corner
    In a medieval game
    I foresee terrible trouble
And I stay here just the same ...
“It’s the mathematical potential for a single game to last forever, in a suspended world where no clock rules the day, that aligns baseball as much with the dead as the living.”
    ---- Bill Vaughn

    2.

He's your oldest and your best friend
If you need him, he'll be there again
He's always willing to be second best
A perfect lodger, a perfect guest

... , read it on the wall
And realize, you just can't have it all
    You can't have it all

    He'll never make any enemies
He won't complain if he's caught in a freeze
    He'll always ask
    He'll always say please

    ... never take it all
'Cause it's easier, faster when you fall
You just don't need it all

Quite possibly my favorite one hit wonder ever. Love this song. I was a sophomore in HS when this one came out.

#2 is Beautiful Loser by Bob Seger. I saw Seger play at the Agora up at Ohio State probably 20 times. Mid-70’s.

Masquerading as a man with a reason
My charade is the event of the season
And if I claim to be a wise man, well
It surely means that I don't know
On a stormy sea of moving emotion
Tossed about, I'm like a ship on the ocean
I set a course for winds of fortune
But I hear the voices say ...

Their signature song - no, it’s not Dust In The Wind.

Very nice!!!! I could listen to that song 30 times a day and never get tired of it. It holds up well. What a timeless classic !!! I could also watch this 30 times a day.
