Hopefully nothing serious. At least it's not injury related.

Look at McLain’s defensive stats at short and the logic will be apparent.

Reds need to figure out an infield alignment - including McLain - and then go for it.

Do the Reds use a bullpen day when Lodolo's spot comes up or callup Abbott? I'm guessing bullpen day twice a week now.

I hope they find a plausible starter from among Lively or whomever. These bullpen days will eventually strain the pitching staff. Once in awhile, fine, but . . . .

Ben Lively and Kevin Herget are stretched out as starting pitchers. They have an off day on Thursday and won't need a fifth starter until next week.

I’ve said this before: Kevin Newman is the backup SS, he isn’t blocking any prospect. If the Reds called up McLain and EDLC tomorrow, Newman would still be on the team and still be getting the occasional start.

Lively is one of the ones they will likely to use a opener when he pitches.
He fared well but his stuff looked very hittable. Of the two Stoudt has much better stuff but he struggles to throw strikes. He can't come back up for a while barring someone going on IL.

Reds with the worst defense this season in decades.

Yes. First two batters should both be out.

Senzel with late bad decision. If he delays, may as well tag the lead runner.

Kevin Newman must bring some serious leadership qualities to the clubhouse because he isn’t bringing much to the field.

Kudos to Weaver for getting a zero with about double the number of pitches it should have been.
