Do Cincinnati baseball fans hate players who make a lot of money. I remember seeing Morgan getting booed a lot in 1979 because he was struggling with a pulled stomach muscle. He was a 2 time MVP who actually helped win championships. So anyone can be resented.

There were about 6 web gems last night and the REDS had two of them (Newman and Senzel).

I remember one time going out to the mound to talk with Bob Gibson. He told me to get back behind the batter, that the only thing I knew about pitching was that it was hard to hit.

Yoshida homered his first PA last night. A Walk is a much better result.

Greene just doesn’t get ahead of hitters enough to be an elite pitcher. I don’t care that he throws fast.

He's not elite yet. Hopefully that'll come in time

It's a learned skill. Takes a couple of years at the big-league level, usually.

The Defenders on both sides are going to fall asleep.
