Barerro and Vosler each with 2 Run shots (2 HR today for Barrero) and the Bats tie it at 5 heading to the 7th inning.

Louisville is tied up at 5 apiece in the 6th. Jose Barrero has gone deep twice (12/13).

I didn't realize Acuna qualified, but yes, they both deserve consideration. Some other potential-but-doubtful pitching additions include Evan Kravetz, Andy Fisher, Mike Byrne, and Jacob Heatherly. For position players, I might consider James Free and Francisco Urbaez on the position-player side.

Trey Mancini has doubled and homered in his first 2 plate appearances as a Louisville Bat.

Hector Rodriguez doubled in his first PA as a Dayton Dragon.

Louisville comes out on top 6-5 in a see-saw affair.

Trey Mancini doubled, and homered twice.
Tejay Antone worked a scoreless frame, as did Tony Santillan.

Chattanooga is humiliating Tennessee. They lead 11-0 in the 6th.

    Sam Benschoter was superb tonight: 5 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 3 BB, 7 K.

Rece Hinds has walked and tripled so far tonight.
James Free has doubled and homered (13).

    Re: Midsummer Notes & Thoughts

After a fairly rough beginning to AA, Julian Aguiar has settled down niceley. He's at a 3.00 ERA over the past 28 days with an OPS against below 600 and a AA WHiP below 1.3. Both of those will absolutely play. He's limiting his BBs too and looks like he might well be a Tyler Mahle type MOR guy as he develops. IMO, he's a back-end top 10 candidate who's still young and adding velocity as his body matures. Among he, Lowder, Acuna, Petty, Phillips, Floyd, and Hollan, the Reds would seem to have several starting pitching candidates that will be ready over the next two seasons.

Blake Dunn is a hitting machine. 3 for 4 yesterday with a home run. Two more hits today, both leaving the park. That gives him a combined total of 19 on the season between Dayton and Chattanooga to go along with 47 steals.

    It’s a 10 day only extension.

We'll be seeing this guy pretty soon.

Maybe he can skip AAA. He may be ready, given his age. He doesn't seem to have a weakness and all of his lights seemed to be turned on right now. We could use some Offense, Speed, Defense, getting on base at a high rate, all of the things he does very well.
