I don't think there's much of a shot at all of him being added to the 40-man roster.

Why not. They have plenty of room.

I don't see the room on the 40-man you do.

Who is going to take him and keep him on an MLB roster all of 2024?

The 40 is sure to be a lively discussion after the season ends. There are a number of FA's and AAAA players who will not make the cut. The IL60 players must be added, but one or two could also be cut. I suspect that the Reds will decide on marginal players like Kravetz, Callihan, and Nelson based on how likely other teams are to take them. The Reds may decide to clean house and play it safe by adding marginal minor league players in the high minors.

I love how he doesn't bother to lift either of his feet to crush that one.

O'Donnell has played really well so far in Daytona. His A ball OPS is higher than what Dylan Crews put up before being promoted.

4 HR in the FSL is really nice to see.

Might be someone to watch and move quickly.

    Re: Midsummer Notes & Thoughts

That Sal Stewart is proving to be not completely overmatched in High A at age 19 isn't getting enough conversation. .297/ .385/ .406/ .791 with a 13/17 BB/K ratio in almost 120 PAs is really, really good. He's also playing 3B entirely-- not 1B. (And seems to be doing okay-- apparently not a butcher over there.)

Nearly everything about this season has been proof postivie that Stewart was a solid pick.

Might be easier to let us know when Blake Dunn doesn't get a hit

I think Callihan just hit his way onto the 40-man roster following the season.
