With two outs in the top of the 6th, Hector Rodriguez breaks up a no-hitter with a triple to right. Tortugas still trail 1-0.
Votto homered for Louisville tonight….as did….yep you guessed it….CES.
It’s getting to the point that I’m shocked when I check a box score and CES doesn’t have either a couple hits or a dinger.

How good has CES been? After his 4th game he was hitting .474. His LOW point since has been .333 which he "bounced" off of twice to go back above .350 both times.

Christian Encarnacion-Strand is now in the AAA top 10 in HR, RBI, BA, SLG, and OPS. He has a 176 wRC+.
With a lineup that has Kevin Newman playing regularly at 1B and 3B, there is undoubtedly a spot for him on the MLB roster.

Watching some of those Daytona highlights it's pretty funny that Almonte is still listed at 170 lb. He looks like a monster at the plate at least in the 210-220 range to my eye.
IMO there’s room for one of Barrero, Senzel and Newman with a full strength roster. Get the best returns you can. If I had to pick one, I’m sticking with Barrero. Newman is a solid bench piece, but we all probably know he’s a temporary guy. He is controlled thru next year though. Senzel has had periods where he has looked great this year. I’m really happy for him, but I think you gotta sell high. Barrero is able to competently to above play center, SS, 3b and 2b. I think he’s the guy to keep. However, he may also have the most trade value…..

I'd argue that Barrero is last on that list of three.
He's a poor defensive SS who might be passable in CF. He's proven that he has no bat-- even among that august trio, he's unquestionably at the bottom.
If forced to keep one, give me Senzel due to his outstanding defense at 3B and the fact that he rakes against southpaws.
As an added bonus, we get to continue to tease mth about his least favorite player.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

DSL Reds win again. They're 4-1 on the young season. Duno had a hit and a BB in four trips to the plate. His OPS is over 1.000.
Yeycol Soriano had a single in four trips. No doubles, so he's bullpen or whatever.
