Good call. Billy and Eric were somewhat similar. Elly, on the other hand, is taking 8’ strides which is like comparing a Greyhound to a Terrier. He’s an absolute freak of nature like Bolt, Labron, Ohtani, etc. Primetime was super fast in his own unique way. He was so fast, but it never looked like he was trying. It was like he was gliding on air while everyone else was playing “freeze/trees”. It would be cool to see them all run on an overlay and I honestly don’t know who’d win.

The Kid gave Elly the ball.

I love this as a fan… it’s still a pretty shaky financial decision.

Here’s hoping Elly jots down the kids phone number and makes it rain in about six years.

After Sadek's "that ball had a family!" call, should we start calling him the "Orphan Maker"?

Sports Center loved the call by the way.

Like LeCure said, it raised his profile a few points. It was obviously something he had planned, but you know he can’t use it if he hits a 340-foot wall-scraper.

I look at Sadak like I look at any Reds prospect. You’ve got potential, brother, just stop chasing the slider in the dirt. He seems desperate to articulate the moment - but sometimes your role is just to let it breathe. Let the moment happen and call it to the best of your ability - don’t try to wax poetic and manufacture it.

This podcast will get buried quickly based on the daily electrifying performances of EDLC, but for now, it's on top.

The first thing they discuss in this 35 minute podcast is EDLC, and it lasts for 7 minutes, beginning at the 2:00 mark.

As much as I am impressed by ELDC's power it's his speed that is nearly unbelievable. He has to be at least equal to Billy Hamilton in speed if not better. Let's hope he continues to progress and adjust. If he does he may be one of the all timers in Reds history.

Pat Kelly the manager of the Louisville Bats said he had both Billy Hamilton and Elly and that Elly is the fastest

Seems like I read somewhere that it was something like 10.8 seconds. I honestly can't even fathom that kind of speed.

Everyone who saw it seemed to as well, except for Redszone lol.

Re: Welcome to The Show Elly De La Cruz!

For the record, I loved Sadak’s call of the EDLC’s homer. I also like when Sadak waxes poetically, I wish he would do it more, he’s good at it.

I understand why so many don’t like it. Most fans are used to Brantley talking about how much ice cream he ate, or Marty complaining that someone is walking too much.

What I don’t like about Sadak is when he tries to ask Larkin a deep question, as if he’s Luke Skywalker and Larkin is Yoda.

I've watched that homer too many times to count, but just now noticed all those facial expressions of fans. I count at least a dozen "ohhhhh" expressions behind home plate on that dinger. Name: Ohhh Elly.jpg
