At this point in the season, he's a one-position backup who doesn't hit.

Fairchild can play all three OF spots and has the far better bat.
I agree. I just wonder why Barrero today and not Fairchild. Are they still deciding or just throwing Barrero a bone before he goes down?

You forgot the leadoff guy. Probably just an oversight. lol

Fairchild's in a funk. He K'ed three times yesterday, IIRC, and made an error. They likely want him to clear his head.

Any free interent stations I can find this game? The Somerset KY one isn't doing them now. I'm stuck in the office today and was hoping this game would pass the afternoon a little quicker.

Elly had his first walk, run scored, and hit in the first game.

His first home run in his second game.

I think that today he'll complete his first unassisted triple play.

I will say cycle. I thought he might get it last night with a HR and triple in his first two AB's.

I think he's looked bad for a week or so, other than his HR. Its why I wonder if he might be on the bubble instead of Barrero. Hopkins and Fairchild seem redundant, and Hopkins seems a better upside play. Barrero would be who I'd send down, but he has other uses that neither Hopkins or Fairchild have. They may want to eliminate the redundancy.

Good inning for Ashy, hopefully something to build off of.

good first inning for Ashcraft. Like.
Well, that's what those words mean. He was here. If they don't keep him, he will have been lost/subtracted. I headed out the door today with two shoes on my feet. If I don't return with them, I have lost them. If I do return with them, I haven't added them. ---M2

    Sadak: LAUNCHED INTO CENTERFIELD!

Barrero: Catches ball pretty much in his tracks, 10-feet short of the warning track.

Scoreless inning for Ashcraft, but he still doesn't look the same. Some balls that were hit pretty square. Not sure if it's his velocity or stuff that's off.

Gotta say I thought it was gone off the bat.
