Are they moving him to Double-A? They moved him from low-A to high-A after 100 games despite poor stats. He’s approaching 600 plate appearances at high-A. Should be about that time. He had the best run of his career in high-A last year after his promotion.

Not hopeful. Just a very pull-centric approach, from what I've seen. Power seems to be the only real tool, and that isn't showing up much this year. Still young, so there's a chance, but he's really going to have to overhaul that swing to play more to the center of the field, IMO.

He's got an arm. Probably one of the better ones in the system. He doesn't run poorly although he'll never be a burner. He's not terrible in right.
He's started to drive the ball to left now and then which is a new thing.
Contact rate is gonna keep him from having a career. He'll either fix it or he won't and so far the answer has been he won't.

My answer is yes. Just watched videos of his last two home runs. That's elite bat speed. Can't give up on it.

The best thing about the 2020 draft for the Reds was the Mariners taking Connor Phillips in Competitive Balance Round B ... and then trading him to the Reds.

A 12th overall draft pick, who can't figure out A+ after spending a year there at the age of 22? Put a fork in him.

I think the odds of Hendrick making the bigs are about the same as him hitting down and away off speed stuff

Players with his tools usually at least get a cup of coffee. There's too much money invested in him to release him and say you didn't at least give him a chance against MLB pitching.
