July 16: Blue Jays have 'strong interest' in Stroman
Bruce Levine of 670 AM The Score in Chicago reports that numerous will teams reach out to the Cubs regarding ace starter Marcus Stroman prior to the Aug. 1 Trade Deadline. However, one specific club, the Toronto Blue Jays, has already expressed "strong interest" in the right-hander, sources told Levine.
"Both the Cubs and Jays have done their due diligence on the strength of each other's farm systems," Levine adds.
The Blue Jays and Stroman are very familiar with one another; they selected him in the first round of the 2012 Draft and, after he played parts of six seasons in the big leagues, dealt him to the Mets during his 2019 All-Star season.

Looks like the Orioles vs. the Rays is going to be the top divisional title battle in MLB this season. That's especially impressive given that the other three big market team in the AL East are all at least 6 games above .500 as well.
