Since it is the Cubs, it would be appropriate to ride him out of town on a goat.

Apparently the Marlins are very mad about yesterday's postponement.

Our sincere apologies to the Marlins and their fans for having to postpone last night’s game. We know how important this series is to the Marlins and every effort was made to get the field playable.

The White Sox stink. No one is surprised, of course, but it's still true.

If the White Sox were even a tiny bit better, this game would be at least tied.

Corbin Carroll is going to be making life hard for major league pitchers for the next decade and a half.

Gonna be tough when the White Sox are rolling out two (2) batters with an OPS above .686.

Pete Alonso gives Mets 2-0 lead in first game Miami-Mets.

Arizona up 3-0 late against Chisox.

Now, with a Tyler Naquin strikeout, the Dbacks win 3-0 and lead the Reds by three with four games to go. Reds with tiebreaker.

Dbacks a long shot, Cubs and Marlins more interesting targets for Reds.

I crave a Cubs collapse so much...that game yesterday was a great way to kick it off, too.

Arizona blanks the Chisox 3-0, and with that win SF and SD are eliminated from Wild Card consideration. That places 4 teams - Arizona, Chicago, Miami and Cincinnati - in a scrum for the final two WC spots.

A Metropolitans sweep wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

Fangraphs gives Arizona a 94.9% of making playoffs.

6-0 Mets over Marlins in sixth inning.
