Rod Stewart knocked Tom Wait's Downtown Train out of the park.

A Certain Girl - A 1980 AOR Hit - was/is a rare Warren Zevon track of which he did not write. Nevertheless, it's an awesome song.

The answer to all cover song questions is Aretha's "Respect".

Similar for me how the Black Crowes’ “Hard to Handle” led me to check out the catalog of Otis Redding beyond “Dock of the Bay”.

Marie Laforet's version of Paint it Black.

    No, I don't know French.

Yes, the first time I heard it was Talladega Nights...

Francesca Michielin - L'amore esiste was covered by Amy Lee as Love Exists. Both versions are fantastic, but I do not speak Italian.

Powderfinger by The Beatfarmers is better than Neil’s original. I also like Smashing Pumpkins version of Landslide better than Fleetwood Mac’s.
When I see the 2016 Reds, I see a 100 loss team and no direction.

So much this. Greatest cover ever, hands down.

His Name is Alive did two absolutely perfect covers: Big Star’s “Blue Moon” and Rainbow’s “Man on the Silver Mountain.”

CCR’s “Heard It Through the Grapevine” is the best version of that song.

Come’s cover of “I Got the Blues” is A1.

And speaking of The Rolling Stones, l’ve always preferred Devo’s “Satisfaction.”

Rod Stewart made Tom's version almost unlistenable. And Patty Smyth tried it before Rod- not good.

Jimi's version was epic, and is still the gold standard. My next favorite version is by Dave Matthews.

As for Jimi, might as well add Hey Joe and Star Spangled Banner to the list.

The young man does an admirable job with this cover, if you ask me.
