It is possible to be a good baserunning team that does not do that kind of nonsense so consistently.

I don't like strike outs. But if you are going to strikeout at least go down swinging.

    Good play by Senzel.

Nice quickness by Green, but take the time to square up for the throw.

Aggressive base running is one reason the Reds are tied for a wild card spot. If you're gonna be aggressive on the base paths you're gonna have to live with some outs on the base paths.

Is that what the backwards K means? I honestly never thought of that until you said something.

Pretty clear that nobody bothered to advise Marte that Peterson has a good move to first.

You can be aggressive without being stupid.

Yes if the batter strikes out looking it's considered a backwards K. If you're scoring the game you actually make a backwards K. In the scorebook.

To me, losing outs on the basepaths is getting thrown out stealing, which is fine. Getting picked off or just making dumb plays on the basepaths seem like different things to me.

    That inning was gross.

Relative to his MLB peers, this SP is quite bad. A serious contender should score at least a couple of runs off of this guy.
