Ryan doesn't walk guys while still getting Ks. The reason his ERA is in the 4s is because he gives up a lot of HR. Not the Reds strong suit, but I like this line-up against him. Best hitters in the top 4 with a lot of power potential off a homer prone guy from 6 through 9. This team shouldn't be going up there to take today. If you get a pitch to drive, don't take it and fall behind in the count. I think some of these hitters aren't as much selective as they are just taking pitches no matter where they are to show that they see more pitches.

I like it to, other than CES not in the lineup with his recent power surge but obviously you can’t play everyone.

I think your spot on with the hitting approach vs this guy

Looks like a win to me!!

It’s time for a winning streak at home. Reds haven’t won as much at GABP as they should. They got Twins and Pirates, 4 of 6 is a must, 5 of 6 would be excellent.

Would going 7 and 4 be enough? That would be winning 2 of 3 from Minnesota, Pittsburgh and St.louis. splitting the 2 game series with Cleveland.

He has good stuff. Just needs expirence. Not ready yet. But they have no other options. I'd much rather see him get innings over guys like Weaver.
