Just saw that. Wow, whiff of the year.

It was great to see Elly have a big game. Team needed that. His 2nd homerun was crushed holy cow.

Also lol if the Cubs lose on that dropped flyball. They did, the Cubs lost woohoo!

It's already been a pretty successful season in my book. One more win and it's a winning season. To see these young 'ns finish like this should give the MLB a taste of what's maybe to come in the next couple of years.

This team is going to shine in 2026. Part me wonders how much even better they’ll be if they wait until 2028 to try to win. It’s like waiting just a little bit longer so every kernel in the popcorn bag pops before you take it out of the microwave. You don’t wanna pull it out too early!!!!

We're only 1.5 out of the WC. Let's go ahead and win out and see what happens.

Dunn, Steer, Benson, Friedl, Fraley,...but, wait! There's more!

Steer is really the one who is rendering India obsolete. Everything that is being mentioned for India, Steer already provides, plus is cheaper.
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

Steer rookie year (age 25) - .269/.356/.457/.813 (.261/.349/.438/.787 if you count his cup of coffee at age 24)
    India Rookie Year (age 24) - .269/.376/.459/.835

I wouldn't be too quick to just assume Steer is automatically now the better player or even equal moving froward. He could regress or India could bounce back.

I'd keep both for another year (there is room on the roster) and see how it plays out. Teams mainly employ rotations around the field anyways, and there will be injuries, so I don't worry about getting everybody playing time. It usually ends up the other way around...worrying about who will fill innings.
