Three year cruise canceled due to lack of a ship

One would think you would have a ship secured before offering tickets to a three year cruise but here we are. I believe a local woman sold her house to do this.

First thing, don't sell your house to cruise with a business you've never heard of at a price that's too good to be true. Do the math, it's supposedly a 3 yr cruise and they're charging $32K. That works out to $30/day. No one is going to be able to pay for your food, gas and ship for only $30/day

Blaming the victim of fraud. Not surprising.

It seems like the people who bought tickets will be receiving refunds but still very sketchy nonetheless. I don't know if the government can do anything about it since it seems like this is a foreign company. I don't know what the people who sold their houses were going to to do after the cruise ended.

I'm giving cogent advice. If you succumb to fraud when you give your bank information to a Nigerian email, am I blaming the victim if I mention the folly of what the victim did?

WV, how 'bout if we talk about the incident and not slam fellow RZers?

I don't see any crimes here unless they don't get their money back (which is a real possibility). If the money comes back as promised these folks should thank their lucky stars and move on. If not then they've really got a gripe

I can tell you what they'll do. They'll secure new housing

If they get their money back then no. But if they don't then it could be fraud. I highly doubt they will see any money back.

Iím with you 100%. Theyíre not guilty of fraud yet. If these customers donít get their refunds then we really do have a story

It could be worse, it could of been "A three hour tour, a three hour tour"

That's only if the seas started getting rough.

Magellan's ship took three years (1519-22) to go around the world. I would imagine all the extra fees over three years would dwarf the original fare.

I would have been glad to be on a boat with Ginger and Mary Anne and ecstatic when it went way beyond 3 hours. In fact, I'd have sabotaged the professor's schemes every chance I had to stay with those 2.
    Where we gonna go?

I'd prefer the tour, at least you're on a private island with only a small handful of people. Not stuck on some horizontal skyscraper with 3 thousand people.
